2100: CALA Lead Auditor Course (for ISO/IEC 17025:2005)reg
This course covers the skills and knowledge required to lead a successful audit. It builds on the material covered in the CALA Internal Auditor course and concentrates on the role of the Lead Auditor. Using a combination of lectures and hands-on practice, this course covers the requirements of leading an audit from the planning phase through to closing off the audit.

4200: Internal Calibration for Laboratoriesreg
What? Learn to competently propagate the uncertainties associated with temperature, volume, and mass from laboratory reference instruments to those instruments used for testing. Establish credible traceability of measurement. Ensure that internal calibration procedures meet competence criteria for the desired levels of uncertainty to be propagated.

Note: This course is not to train laboratories how to calibrate instruments for use by other labs.

This advanced course builds on the fundamentals learned in the introductory course. It covers advanced concepts in control chart interpretation, including rules and trends, outlier handling, and the use of control charts for multiple analyte methods. Time is dedicated to review of real-life upsets identified on control charts and beneficial approaches to investigation. Participants are encouraged to bring in control chart matters for open discussion.
