PROFICIENCY TESTING WORKSHOP

Ontario Ministry of the Environment, 125 Resources Road, Etobicoke

November 22 - 23, 2004

In June of this year, a proficiency testing workshop was held in Vancouver.  The turnout was good and the discussions were lively and constructive.  A summary of the issues raised during this workshop is detailed on the CAEAL web site (www.cala.ca).

Due to recent regulatory requirements, success in the CAEAL PT program has become essential to the operation of many analytical laboratories.  For this reason, CAEAL continues to solicit feedback into the operation of the existing program and recommendations for the future. To this end, a second PT workshop will be held in Toronto on November 22/23.  The agenda (.pdf) will be similar to the Vancouver workshop and is intended to extend the opportunity for participation in the improvement of the PT program to as many members as possible.

The workshop will be of value to anyone who wishes to learn more about the operation of the PT program, who wishes to dialogue with their peers with respect to the PT program, and who wishes to voice their concerns and recommend improvements.
