Happy Spring CALA Customer and Members,
The spring season brings a rejuvenation of activity outdoors and here at CALA too. My hope is that this newsletter will bring you up-to-date on all things new and changing, including updates from our Accreditation program and its focus on the transition to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard. Exciting news from our Training group, who are now able to deliver select on-site courses in French for our Francophone community. As well, you'll find updates on our PT program, our AMS initiative and the upcoming AGM. Please see below for highlights and links to the articles for full information.
Preparing for CALA's annual general meeting and our annual report has given me an opportunity to reflect on the past year, and my first year with CALA. I'd like to share those thoughts and highlights with you by inviting you to read my contribution to the newsletter here.
And finally, some sad news to share with our community. Many of you will know Erinn Knight (Cummins), a long-time employee of CALA. Erinn recently passed away on April 10, 2018 after an arduous battle with breast cancer. Although I never had the opportunity to work with Erinn, her colleagues often spoke very highly and affectionately of her. On behalf of all of us at CALA we send our sincere condolences to Erinn's family and friends. Through this link you will find a memoriam to Erinn.
