January 2018

CALA Training offers courses that cover the revised ISO/IEC 17025 standard.

Perhaps your laboratory staff are already familiar with the 2005 version of the standard.  Maybe they just need to know what is changing.  If that's the case, they should enroll in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – What's New or Different. This course provides details on both the new and updated requirements in the standard.  It will also provide information on cross-referencing and where to find items from the 2005 version that have moved to the 2017 version.  Additional details on how to conduct a gap analysis of your new system, and become familiar with the new structure and requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard will be covered.

What's New or Different

Do you need to learn the full ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard?

For laboratory staff that need to learn the full standard, enroll in Understanding ISO/IEC 17025:2017.  The approach to this course has been completely revised from the 2005 version.  Rather than covering the standard clause by clause, it looks at the requirements from the viewpoint of the work being done in the laboratory. The course covers the full standard and puts in context how the quality system supports the work throughout the laboratory.  For more information or to register for either course, go to  CALA Training.

Would on-site training be more effecient?

All CALA courses, including the new ISO/IEC 17025:2017 course, can be offered at your location.  Not only does group training greatly reduce training costs, it has the added benefit of building team effectiveness by providing the opportunity to share information specific to your environment.

CALA can also provide customized courses. For example, if your team does not need training on the full standard, you may want to focus on an overview of the changes, then cover some specific areas in more detail.  Through our customized training options, we will deliver what you need to support your staff.  Contact CALA Training at training@cala.ca or 613-233-5300 X221 to get a quote for on-site or customized training courses.

If you are looking for a course in your area that is not included on the schedule, please give us a call. We are happy to add courses to the schedule if there is enough demand.

If you want more than 5 people trained, it may be more cost effective to book an onsite course and train your staff in a group. CALA can provide either a course at your site, or a dedicated virtual course for your group.  Contact us for more information or a quote by sending an email to training@cala.ca or call Maria at 613-233-5300 x221.
