Happy New Year CALA Community,
I'm pleased to send along our first newsletter for the new year.

President & CEO
Our Accreditation Update contains important information on the impact the recently published ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard has on our accredited labs. Learn more about this and the supporting tools that CALA has available here.
CALA TRAINING UPDATE
Our Training department is particularly busy these days as laboratories prepare for the new ISO/IEC 17025 standard. Two courses in particular, Understanding ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – What's New or Different are helping labs and their staff get up to speed and understand the difference between the old and current standard. Many labs are finding it more economical and efficient to be hosting on-site courses for their entire teams. More information on all of this can be found here.
PROFICIENCY TESTING UPDATES
Proficiency Testing has a few news items to share including the awarding of subcontractors for testing samples, new test groups and the anticipated completion of a review on the acceptance limits for all analytes. Read on for more details…
ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (AMS)
Find out the recent updates on our Association Management System that will allow CALA clients to access their own data and other service and program information through a web-based utility.
