The International Centre for Environmental and Nuclear Sciences (ICENS, www.icens.org) is an environmental analytical facility at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus in Kingston Jamaica.
We have received funding from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and are seeking several short term consultants, two of which could be analytical chemists with extensive experience in the application of flame, graphite furnace and hydride generation AAS to the determination of the elemental content of soil, food and biological samples. These consultancies are only applicable to citizens or bona fide residents of CDB member states, which includes Canada (also China, Germany, U.K. and Italy as non regional members). The period of engagement is two weeks (may be negotiable) and the contract fee is about US$10,000.
